Cookie Policy
How Nephia uses cookies and similar technologies on the website and dashboard.
Last updated: September 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Nephia uses cookies and similar storage when you visit our website or dashboard. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use related technologies such as local storage or session storage when needed for sign-in or UI preferences.
2. Cookies we use
2.1 Essential
Required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled if you want to sign in or use the dashboard.
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session / auth | Keep you signed in to the dashboard | Session or provider-defined |
| Security | CSRF and abuse protection where applicable | Session |
| Cookie choice | Remember whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask you again | 6 months |
| UI preference | Sidebar open/collapsed and similar layout prefs | Up to 1 year |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Bot check on the sign-in form. Runs in its own frame loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com and may keep a challenge token in that frame’s storage; sets no cookie on our domain. | Session |
The website, dashboard and API are served through Cloudflare’s network. On our pages Cloudflare sets no cookie today; if a page is ever placed behind a security challenge, Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie for the duration of that challenge, which is essential and not used to recognise you afterwards.
2.2 Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics, hosted in the European Union. It tells us which pages and features are used so we can improve them. These cookies are set only after you accept them in our cookie banner.
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog analytics | Recognise a returning visitor and group their activity into a session | Up to 1 year |
If you decline, PostHog runs in cookieless mode: no analytics cookies are set, and your visit is counted using a rotating identifier derived on PostHog's servers rather than stored on your device. Two technical entries remain — the essential "Cookie choice" cookie above, which records your answer either way so we do not ask again, and a per-tab identifier held in session storage that is discarded when you close the tab. Neither is used to recognise you on a later visit. We do not record your screen.
2.3 Marketing
We do not use marketing cookies or third-party advertising trackers.
3. Managing cookies
- Use the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, or the Privacy card on your dashboard Account page, to change your analytics choice at any time
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies
- Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and dashboard use
- Revoke Google access anytime in your Google account permissions if you signed in with Google
4. Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry standard for Do Not Track browser signals. We currently do not respond to DNT signals beyond the practices described here.
5. Changes
We may update this Policy when our cookie practices change. The "Last updated" date will reflect revisions.
