Will it find anything for a small brand?
Yes, from the first run. A new Query starts with a backfill of what the sources already hold, so your first mentions land in minutes rather than the next time someone posts. A brand with ten mentions a month gets the ten, read and ranked; a brand with none is told so instead of being shown noise.
