YouTube brand mentions, the day a video names you

Nephia watches YouTube for new videos that match your brand, or for every upload of a channel you follow, as often as every minute.

Each video arrives with its title, description, channel and views, and is read for sentiment and intent like a post on any other source.

It costs 5 credits a check, and the videos a check finds are never capped.

What a Watch on YouTube reads

A search or a channel
New videos matching your terms, or every new upload from one channel, by handle or id.
Every spelling in one search
Several terms joined into one request, at one check’s cost.
The video
Title, description, channel and view count as the video lands.
What it does not read
Comments, captions and transcripts are not part of a Watch.

How often, and what a month costs

A check on YouTube costs 5 credits, and YouTube is never checked more often than every minute. Credits meter the checks: the mentions they find are never capped. Nothing is charged during the public beta.

What happens to a mention

A search on YouTube carries several terms at once, joined into one request, so your brand, its domain and a common misspelling are one check. Terms per search: Free 3, Solo 10, Growth 25, Pro 50.

Every mention is read by the AI for a sentiment and an intent, and ranked by reach: what deserves an answer sits on top, with a reply drafted. The same post caught on two sources is one line.

It lands in your Feed and, the moment it is caught, in Slack, Discord, an email digest or a signed webhook. The REST API and the MCP server read the same stream.

Questions

Does it read comments or transcripts?

No. A Watch tracks what is published, on a search or a channel: a new video, its title, description and stats. A brand named only out loud in a video, and not in its text, is not caught.

Can I follow a competitor’s channel?

Yes. Give the Watch a channel handle instead of a search, and every new upload arrives as a mention, read like the rest.

What if a video is deleted after it was caught?

The mention you received stays as it was caught.
