A GummySearch alternative, now that it has closed

GummySearch stopped taking new customers on 30 November 2025, after it could not reach a commercial agreement with Reddit, and it shuts down fully in December 2026.

It was an audience research tool: find the subreddits where your customers are, and read what they ask. Nephia is a monitor: it watches for your brand, your competitors and your market’s questions, and tells you when they appear.

Nephia reads Reddit posts and comments alongside 13 other sources, and reads the intent of each mention, so a buyer asking for a tool is one filter away.

What GummySearch did that Nephia does not

Audience discovery
Finding the subreddits your audience gathers in, from a description of who they are. Nephia starts from the words you give it.
Browsing a community
Reading a subreddit’s themes and top questions as research. Nephia reports what is new, as it lands.

What Nephia does instead

Watch your market’s words
A Query on the words your buyers use, "alternative to", a competitor’s name, the problem you solve, catches the threads as they are posted.
Buyers, filtered
Each mention is read for intent, so the ones asking which tool to pick sit under one filter.
Beyond Reddit
The same Query reads X, Hacker News, Bluesky, YouTube and the rest, and the same post seen twice is one line.

Questions

Is GummySearch still available?

Not to new customers. Its site says purchases stopped on 30 November 2025, existing subscribers keep access until their billing period ends, and the service shuts down fully in December 2026 (read on 2026-09-15).

Can Nephia find Reddit threads where people ask for a tool like mine?

Yes, as they are posted. Watch the words those threads use, and filter the feed on purchase intent: the AI reads every post and comment for it.

Does Nephia do subreddit audience research?

No. It does not suggest communities or summarise a subreddit. It watches for what you name and tells you when it comes up.
